This progressive project involves adaptive re-use of an existing 5,000 sf retail building that has been expanded to 10,000 sf of Physical Therapy Office Space. The project also has a 10,000 sf field house attached for weekday use for Physical Therapy & weekend use by youth sports clubs, etc…
Wendy’s
Biddeford, Maine — and other locations throughout New England
ALPHAarchitects was the project architect for the update to Wendy’s in Biddeford. We plan to work with Wendy’s on other restaurants throughout New England as the franchise unrolls the new, more modern, prototype. This new prototype features an updated set of graphics, as well as a new facade, an electric fireplace set into a red accent wall, new furnishings and finishes, and updated electronic menu boards.

Convenience Stores for Priority Real Estate Group

Modern Retail in Maine
In conjunction with long-time client Priority Real Estate Group we have been contracted to design and implement a series of multi-use, auto-centric, retail centers. These Lil’ Marts feature convenience stores, gas canopies, CNG pumps, McDonald’s, Dunkin’ Donuts, farm markets, etc. The Scarborough and Portland projects are currently underway and the others have been completed. Bangor Savings Plaza
Falmouth, Maine (Summer 2011)
This adaptive reuse project occupies 15,400 SF. The new Bangor Savings Plaza radiates with sail-like vestibules at each business entrance. Large, unobstructed panes of new metal panels, aluminum storefronts, and curved metal canopies were employed for a welcoming presence to the customers. It is located in the Village Center Overlay District and faces US Route One at an angle. Tenants include Bangor Savings Bank & Ace Hardware.

Merrymeeting Center
Brunswick, Maine
This projects involves renovating the existing Recreational & Lodge Buildings located on the former Brunswick Naval Air Station and modifying them into a school for special needs children. Merrymeeting Center opened in August 2013.
